Is Too Much Knowledge Dangerous?

I consider myself still new to Internet Marketing. I have been doing this for almost 7 months. I knew nothing about the Industry and was forced to stay home and take care of my 90 y/o Mom who suffers of Dementia. I discovered Internet Marketing and feel very passionate about it. It has been the best business that I had ever undertaken. In the passed, I worked and made everyone else rich but myself. So I decided to work for myself.

In the beginning I had to put my 'feelers' out to the Internet Industry because I had to start somewhere. Since then I had joined almost every Internet Marketing business you could think of, which was'nt bad at the time. My emails started flowing in at about 50-100 every day but now I get about 1000. Suddenly, due to the recession, most Marketers are giving away or selling their products to make us 'millionaires' or so they claim.

Not a day goes by that I am not inundated with the 'best money making secrets' that 'no one knows about'. Where have all these 'secrets' suddenly appeared from. Why have they been kept from the general public or the 'newbies' until now? Are'nt we supposed to learn these 'secrets' from the beginning.

There has never been, in my opinion, so much knowledge availabe on the Internet as there is now. I was guilty of spending money on most of these programs until the next big 'secret' was divulged. I look back now and realize how foolish I was. I have stopped buying all these products and now only work with Matt LaClear who is showing me everything that I had not learnt from all the Marketing Gurus.

I have joined the forums as he instructed and am learning more from him that all the secrets out there.

Stop! and think of what you're doing spending all that money. I know, I did.
If theres one thing I can recommend to you is join Matt LaClear's free course. He makes you understand that there are no secrets out there and not to feel intimated by all these Gurus and just take one little step at a time.

Is there anyone else who has experied what I have? please answer.

First let me applaud you for taking the step and seeing after your Mom. It is difficult seeing them get older and not having the ability to take care them the way you would like. May you continue to have the strength.

Second, I must concur with your thoughts and actions. I too am new to Internet Marketing of 3 Months. I have come across a lot of information from those who want to help you build as they have over the years. I too was guilty of spending money on "The Big Secret" programs. What was I actually looking for? Just as you, when I ran upon Matt LaClear 'Stop Your Whining', I started to learn more and understand that I really didnt get any knowledge that could help me with Internet Marketing. I am learning that just like anything else, you have to take one step at a time and stop looking for 'The Next Big Secret'.

Thank you for the kind words. Yes I do need inner strength with my Mom. It is very difficult when they get old. I only hope I have someone like me to look after MOI!

Hi Jay,

Kudos on taking care of your mom. Both of my parents passed when I was young so I only have my experience working in a nursing home, to help me relate to your situation. I took my son to work with me one day and begged him never to let that happen to me in my old age. I hope he listened.

I too am new to internet marketing, and have joined Matt's Apprentice program. Like you, I spent more money than I had chasing after that "Fool Proof" method to make money online. Then I got acquainted with Matt, and slowly but surely, I'm learning the ropes.

My computer is overflowing with all the "Free" downloads promising to teach me how to earn a living online. Some have been helpful, but none as much as Mat LaClear with his infinite wisdom.

Keep working on it and soon we'll all be prospering!

Hi ther Jay, I would like to say thank you for hitting the nail on the head. Like you I came to thiss industry looking for a way to help my family financially as I was forced to give up work due to an illness.

I agree with you on everything you have said I ddid exactly the same thing and I am sure I get about 1000 emails a day as well saying they have the next best thing or they are finally letting the secrets out. I have spent that much money on new programs that I have put more financial strain on my family and overloaded my computer with a bunch of crap.

I am now doing exactly the same thing as you putting my hands only in Matt LaClear's and taking this free course learning exactly which direction I should be going the right way.

So thanks for you thoughts and yes there are people out there exactly the same as you.

I realize now, that sometimes we feel that we're so alone and up against this very crazy world. Then one day in our search we find this road. This road opens up into little streets with other people going through exactly what you're going through and suddenly its not such a lonesome world anymore. I'm glad to be so fortunate to have met wonderful people in VOU. Lets all work hard and hopefully when we're all fully fledged "Gurus", we will all meet and discuss our triumphs..

Thanks for the great post. You have the guts most of the marketers out there don't.
What i mean is you told the truth about wasting time and money on all the hype
ans B.S. out there. I myself understand your situation with your mom. Myself and
my brother had the same situation with my mom and dad.Both my mom and dad
became unable to care for themselves so we nurtured them for as long as we could
but eventually had to put them in a nursing home which was a great hardship. My mom
passed away 2 years ago and my dad just passed away 3 months ago. They were both
in their 90's and had a long wonderful life. But getting back to the internet marketing. I have
been marketing on and off the web for over 8 years along with working a full time JOB
making someone else rich and still am. I had many ups and downs and spent a fortune
just like you but learned some great stuff knowing this will not happen to me again. Now
i came across Matt's program a little over a year ago and follow his lead to make me a better
marketer as well as a better person and i look for people i can work with and help any way
possible. I do not know everything and dont claim to but everything i learn i am willing to share
to get as many out of this recession and ratrace we live in. Enough rambling for now i could go
on all night I wish everyone success and if we follow Matt's lead we will all get there
