I have heard so many people say that they do not worry about ID Theft for many reasons. #1 Reason being, "my credit is so bad it doesn't even matter". I have to admit that when I first began hearing about identity theft I understood why people would say that. I mean what are they actually going to be able to get with poor credit. My oh my how the times have changed regarding ID Theft. Financial ID Theft only accounts for 20% of all id theft cases. In fact, real thieves say that they are not even after your financial id nearly as much. The focus has shifted to medical id theft. Did you know that if a medical security breach is achieved by an id thief they can get all types of testing done in your name, change your blood type with their blood type info, get prescriptions filled in your name, copays, and run up huge medical bills all in your name? Now when you have an ailment and need to visit a doctor or the hospital, your records are all out of balance and the medicine you were once allergic to you suddenly are not because of your records being changed. Or, due to your high medical insurance balance your employer needs to try to find a way to get rid of you because you are too much of a financial burden to the company. I know this has changed my thoughts on "real" id theft and this only speaks of one of the other forms. Not to mention driver's license theft, social security theft, character/criminal theft. Do you have a newfound awareness of what could really be going on all in your name behind your back? What are your thoughts?

Hey Jerry,

You are so correct. I have experienced a number of individuals that have had to report Identity Theft where their Medical Information is concerned. I recently received a message that in certain states an employer can release you as an employee due to having too many medical claims or too many doctor visits. It was also brought to the attention that many of the accused had experienced ID Theft and was in the process of an investigation. Fortunately, they were placed on some type of paid probation or leave for a short period of time until the issue was resolved. Thanks for the eye-opener, we all need to be informed and educated on the possibility of how our lives can be ruined behind our name.

Hello Darral,

Nice to meet you. Yes it is a crazy world out there. So much going on right under our noses that we don't even realize is happening. Do you know if the individuals who know they are victims of ID Theft have professionals working with them to solve their issues or are they trying to resolve on their own? It can take months and sometimes even years to resolve these issues singlehandedly depending on how many times the person's identity has been used and/or sold to others. No problem shedding light on the issue. We all need to be educated on whatever the subject may be in today's world.

Thanks for the comments,
Jerry

P.S. I am also involved with a brand new homepage which is just getting ready to be released to the world called Blastoff Inc. Have you heard of it yet? They have awesome deals and you can save money and make money by joining for free and inviting your friends to join as well and shop on the online stores. I will check out your site too though.
