Do you know the difference between "to want to" and "to be determined to"?

Wilma... Yes, that's a perfect example.More haste - less speed. OR - what is expedient for one to do, in any given circumstance?

Do you know the difference between "to want to" and "to be determined to"?

Wilma... This is good thinking. There certainly is a huge void between simply wanting something and being outright determined to get it. The latter almost ensures the required result; doesn't it? Fro…

Thanks Matt. I think my biggest problem is that I have undertaken to create three landing pages. Maybe over doing it somewhat, but it's just fine.

Vibrations surround all life

Good vibrations are the core of my existence; especially those created by music. And considering that music is the common thread that runs through all people and it is known as the one international language, I love to communicate with everyone and with all living creatures.

It excites me when I make eye contact with an animal and we both, instantaneously, recognise that common aura of trust and respect - this opens the channel for communication, whether spoken or by body language, it matters not. We both know that we have connected.

The same goes for people. Every creature reads the purity of intention in each other and as long as one has pure intentions, no harm will arise. Evil intent obviously causes the reverse.

Even though I am an accountant, business mentor and writer, I am first and foremost a musician, songwriter and lyricist. This is what I live for.

My experience with animals and music has been fascinating. Often, when I play my guitar and sing, one or all my dogs come and lie at my feet and almost look as if they are crooning; until my music puts them to sleep. They love it. So do I. I will copy a couple of my songs, lousy home recordings, which I have played at gigs, at some stage.

Causes of Business Failure # 5

Business failure due to weak management

Every day, businesses and the people in business, are continually being influenced by positive and negative factors. The person that you have managing your business has the greatest positiver or negative influence, which is the dominating factor determining the success or failure of your business; especially if you are not managing the business yourself.

“Who should be managing my business, besides me if I can't, and where is the best place… Continue

Causes of business failure # 4

Insufficient review of business operating results.

The number of businesses that fail due to lack of review of operating activities to budgets is alarming. This is a fairly straight forward procedure that, if followed diligently, will produce good fruits.

There is a great need for consistent, routine management meetings to review how the business is doing as compared to the original business plan and budgets. Another area that needs constant review and adjustment is the costing o… Continue

Causes of business failure # 3

Inexperience in the industry of the business

When buying or starting a business, unless you have capable people already in position whom you trust, please do not buy or start a business in an industry of which you have not had any experience. This would be like investing your money in a questionable investment with poor or no track record. You might say “could it really be that bad?”. My answer, as always is; definitely, there is no question about it.

From my personal experience,… Continue

Causes of business failure # 2

Lack of correct and strict corporate governance

Many business owners and directors do not realize the opportunity left in place for fraud and abuse by not implementing and enforcing a practice of strict corporate governance in their businesses. Corporate Governance may sound like a complex accounting or legal term, but it is actually very simple.

It is simply the putting in place of formal procedures and disciplines which match the company's policies and procedures and those laid… Continue

I left ample warning on your team page that I would be disbanding your team if you did not meet the deadline. Since no one submitted their landing pages to me I took that as missing the deadline. I even gave you a 24 hour extension. So if you want to continue in the apprentice program you will have to do so on marvin's martians.

Congrats on your featured status, Vaughan! I'm a musician and songwriter myself for more than 40 years. I'd love to hear some of your songs. You can hear some of mine at http://kennyhart.com.

One of the reasons I'm working so hard to get my IM business going is so I can have more time for my music.

Good luck and let me know when you have some songs posted.

Cheers!

P.S. My dog does the same thing. Pretty cool!
