When started working on the net, I started with nothing. When I did invest what little I had I invested a lot less than most businesses do when starting up.
In the beggining I was once told over and over again that " you can't make
money WITHOUT money" , and this is so true,to an extent because on the net there are vitually hundreds of ways to leverage the market through free advertising to generate your first income then re-invest. This is what I did.
It really does not take much money to get started, you
only need the right information which is pratically everwhere ... BUT... you do
need to start in the first place...
"I can guarantee you one thing: Doing nothing will
get you one thing: NOTHING."
Even with the many mistakes I made, It was better
than doing nothing at all -I would just keep going until it
works...
In the beginning, there's a very strong possibility
that you'll not make Things work the first time, but I
want to prepare you for every eventuality...
First most common mistake, launching
a project too soon. Most people are rushing there very
first venture which leads to mistake number 2 not
researching your market correctly. Too often
people start pinning all their hopes and
dreams on a product!! I will explain later why this
is VERY wrong!
I want you to do something which may sound backwards before actually starting.....
Step away from your business or your laptop and
relax. switch off for awhile and just enjoy life - You will be amazed at what you'll come up with. Maybe some great new ideas...
This may sound crazy but it is actually some very powerful advice -
you can get your best ideas when you start doing
something else. I frequently get my best ideas
when I am doing something totally
unrelated to what I was working on...
Oh yeah, I almost never have a pen either so be sure you always have a way to write down your ideas that come to you... Otherwise, if you're
like me and have a short memory span, they'll be lost forever!
The next thing you must do is seek a market - look to
fill a need. This is KEY to your business success.
If you find small needs, you'll make small
money... but if you find BIG needs, you'll
make BIG money! So always think BIG
Remember up top I said being product driven is wrong? This is because you really
need to "reverse engineer"
the usual thinking... The Market is the KEY!
You could have gold blocks for sale at a dollar a peice. Without a market They would be worth less then that. First find a market, discover a need
THEN find a product for your market to supply the demand.
Most people start with an area
of interest, a passion or a hobby,
Think of something that people always phone you up and
ask you about. Think,as they say,outside the box. Everyone has some area of interest
that they're very knowledgeable about,
Start with this topic - it will make it easier to focus on...
If for some reason you do have coming up with something to focus on there are plenty of places to find products that will fit just about any need, so don't worry about this too much right now. Choosing a market is the important step right
now...
The Last thing you must do can be tricky, you must find out what your customer - or your potential customer wants,Then figure out how to provide them with what they
want...
So for now REMEMBER....... NOT to focus on the product - this is a
recipe for disaster.FIRST Focus on the market, the size of
